Prayer List

  1. Started by JHCC,

Dear All, We have a family friend named William. He's one of Lisa's former coworkers and has been a close friend for years; both kids call him "Uncle William". William is HIV-positive and has been for many years. The medications that had reduced his viral load to "undetectable" are no longer working, and unless the doctors find a new medication that (A) works and (B) doesn't itself make him sick, he's going to be in a pretty bad way. Please say a prayer for him. Thanks, JHCC

You guys and gals are great always. I've been told not to exclude myself before in prayers so ok. I would really appreciate a mention above for help with self improvement. I'm letting people down and just feel like I'm doing all I can but it's not enough at all. I have issues with depression and don't communicate well. I at times don't show affection like I should and it leads to arguements. Most of the time I feel like I am being attacked on it but some I know to be true I'm just so tired and beat that I have no good answer for. I'll tend to shut down or get angry. I'll think things are getting better but they aren't. It seems to me that it's barely been a few months and…

Hey guys I am sorry that we have not been on in awhile. We haven't forgotten all of the good people here that have taught us so much. And right now My family is in need of you're help we need for y'all to send up some serious prayers to the man upstairs. On Monday morning we lost our grandson who was 3 years old in a house fire and our granddaughter held onto life until God called her home early Tuesday morning. Our family is grief stricken and lost at the moment and we need all of the strength that God can provide. We appreciate all of you're prayers.

Hey, all. My brother down in Texas has asked for my prayers and -- with his permission -- I'm forwarding the request here as well. He, his wife, her sister, and her brother-in-law will be moving her parents into assisted living over the course of this summer, and much anxiety and drama is expected. At the same time, he is changing antidepressants, so that has the potential to make things even more stressful. If you care to, say a prayer for Bill, Mari, and their family.

  6. Hello, it has been a trying few months, and things are about to continue to be difficult for the next year. Bottom Line is that I can not discuss the specifics on this Public Venue, but I have decided to relocate temporarily (nine months to a year) to Santa Barbara County. So, my Iforgeiron family, I am asking for your Thoughts, Prayers, and Intentions, as I continue to make difficult choices and am away from my Spouse and my Kids (and the Cat, and the forge) for much longer periods than suits my passion. It was my intention to head North from San Diego and try to find work in this locale. Fortunately, a well-paying job w…

Hi died on a heart attack while staying with his wife in his holiday house in Germany. As I’ve noted elsewhere, I’ve realized that my dysthymia is back. The last couple of days in particular have been especially bad, and I only got a real moment of clarity last night while walking the dogs. I’ve been to the drugstore to get some St. John’s Wort (the herbal antidepressant that I used successfully the last time it was this bad), and I have also been using some of the relaxation techniques discussed in Michael Cochrane’s Prayer Request thread. So, thank you, Michael, for starting that conversation, and thanks to everyone else for contributing to it. Like so many discussions here on IFI, it’s not always just the person who asks the initial question who gets he…

Please say a word for my friend Dave, who suffered a stroke while on a business trip in Colorado (he lives in Boston). His husband Eric is with him and the prospects for recovery look good, but prayers appreciated nonetheless. Dave is one of the smartest, most compassionate, and insightful people I know, and the thought of what this might do to his brain is just a bit much right now.

Please pray for the victims and the families affected by this act of evil. I don't even know what to say here yall some xxxxxxxx xxxx has shot our fellow Americans and it seems that he then killed himself. The talking heads on the media want to turn it into a gun debate. All I ask is that we don't politicize this the man was sick in his heart and he was evil that is all there is to the matter. I am so saddened by this that I don't know how to properly convey my words so please just pray for everyone that was effected by this and pray for the country to turn itself around and get back to where we started from.

I have a friend here at work that’s more like family than anything that has been havin some difficulty lately with some of things. He talked to me about some of it and seemed to be getting back on track like things were going back to normal. Last night I got a call from him that didn’t make sense until his girlfriend called about an hour later telling me he overdosed and was on the way to the hospital. Right now he’s in CCU at the local hospital and is being kept sedated. Right now nobody knows when he’s gonna be able to home. I didn’t see any warning signs and looking back I still can’t see any. He carries his problems and worries deep inside and doesn’t share well. Hope…

Deb's Mother passed about an hour ago, Deb's sitting in the car in a parking lot crying. Margie turned 90 a couple days after Thanksgiving and the whole family made a big party of it. Fortunately Deb got to spend the time with her and the family recently. While Margie's health has been failing for a while this was sudden. She was with her Husband Miles, daughter Kathy, son in law and the live in care giver. Margie collapsed and was gone before the EMS got her to the hospital an elapsed time of less than 20 minutes. If you could say a few words for her and family I'd appreciate it. Jerry

Today as I was leaving work there was a note on the timeclock about one of the department supervisors wife having passed. She’s been sick for some time (well over a year) but I hadn’t heard about anything changing until today. I don’t know what it is about this time of year but it seems like it happens ever year when it starts getting good and cold. It’s sad it’s so close to the holidays and there are so many out there in the world losing loved ones. Let’s all take time to enjoy our friends and family and remember all those who’ve lost someone recently.

My wife works at an assisted living facility nearby and one of the residents passed this morning. I don’t know much because she’s not really allowed to discuss people at work due to HIPPA regulations. All I know is she’s upset because she feels some blame. She checked on the person and when someone else came it later to check on them the other girl noticed the resident wasn’t breathing. The little bit I know is the person had difficulty breathing already and last night one of the employees claims to have seen the reaper (something not too uncommon in these types of facilities however it’s usually the residents that claim to see the reaper). The resident had family t…

My son hasn't been feeling well lately. Truth is every since he started K4 he keeps getting sick. A couple weeks ago my wife took him to the dr and they told her he had asmatic bronchitis. We've been giving him his medicine and he seemed to be getting better until early this morning. He got hot and threw up this morning twice but seemed to be feeling better after that for a little bit. He started complaining about being hot so my wife checked his temp, 102F. She snatched him up and took him to the local urgent care to get looked at. After almost 2 hours they finally see him and immediately call for an emergency transport to Children's Hospital. The urgent care said his he…

Yesterday afternoon the 2 year old little girl of a friend of ours was killed by a car backing out of their driveway. No fault of the driver, she ran behind the vehicle when it was moving and was too short to be seen. Her whole family was there and saw it happen. This may seem a bit whacked to a lot of ya'll, but today at 2:00 central time her family and friends are gathering to pray for a resurrection. We will be having 50ish folks over to our place to do the same. It may be out of the comfort zone of a lot of ya'll, but I invite you to join in prayer for the resurrection of this child. If you can not make the time to do it at 2:00 central with the rest of us, do it whe…

  23. To all who provides prayers and encouragement I would like to offer an update. With a change of medication the visual and aural ha lusinations are under control, tho we are still struggling with her immune system wanting to attack her thyroid. Her youngest daughter got married, her divorce is final and she has been aproved for SSA disability. So she is certainly less stressed. Thank you again for your prayers, love and friendship.

  24. Glen passed away yesterday morning at age 81. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 6 years earlier. Campbell's hits include his recordings of John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind"; Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", and "Galveston"; Larry Weiss's "Rhinestone Cowboy"; and Allen Toussaint's "Southern Nights". From Chris Holt To PAABA Members, used with permission. It is with great sadness to report the passing of Bill Clemens. Bill was a wonderful friend to PAABA as a demonstrator. He brought us the Mastermryr Find in 2005, demonstrated at John Groll's in 2014 at our annual "Chili-fest", and just last fall at Bob Picken's Country Fab. Bill provided us with projects for our newsletters and items for our auctions. He will be greatly missed by our affiliate but also all of the blacksmith community. He worked tirelessly for ABANA in many capacities including as a Board Member. If you would like to send a card to the family, please mention you are a PAABA member. H…
