This world lost another great man-Glen Campbell

Glen passed away yesterday morning at age 81. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 6 years earlier.

Campbell's hits include his recordings of John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind"; Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", and "Galveston"; Larry Weiss's "Rhinestone Cowboy"; and Allen Toussaint's "Southern Nights".

He was a dang good man and a great singer. RIP Glenn, you have left us, but your music will play on forever.

I heard the news alert about the time he passed. I lost my Brother to ALS 3 years ago, his decline was long and hard. It leaves a person with mixed feelings we're sorry they pass but relieved when they do. Watching Glen Campbell going down was hard on a lot of us. It's never easy.

Rest well, see you on the other side.
