September 13, 20178 yr Many of you guys have followed and helped my work since day one! So I figured I'd share the big news on here. I'm getting married! I've been looking for a while now and like just about everyone else, have had my ups and downs....happiness and heartbreak. My bride's name is Sarah Grace! She's from North Dakota! We've "known" each other online for several years but I started talking to her this year and we really hit-it-off and things have just gone really well. We are getting married on October 14th of this year. When we get back home, we'll be living in the house I am working on building on my 17 acres. The house still needs lots of work, but she is willing and able to help and is looking forward to being able to set up her kitchen and things like that. We are both greatly blessed and looking forward to starting our lives together. My smithing business is alive and well and fully capable of supporting myself and a family so I will continue to forge and be active in the smithing community to the best of my ability.
September 13, 20178 yr CONGRATULATIONS DAVE, You are a fine young man and will do well. I wish you happiness and a bright future.. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
September 13, 20178 yr Congrats! I pray you enjoy every minute of your life together. You have a very lovely lady there...
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations! Hard work and good communications can take a marriage a long way! (mine passed 33 year mark in August; my parents made it to 63 years) When we were young and poor I used to bring my wife wild flowers just to let her know I was thinking of her. But have you told your anvils yet?????

September 13, 20178 yr Never underestimate the value of a woman who suffers under the delusion you are a wonderful man. If everyday you try to be the man she thinks you are, you will do great things. Pupmaster is right, she is a lovely lady. I wish you happiness and hard work in your life together.
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations! Looks like you two are off to a good start. May you have many, many happy years on your adventure together.
September 13, 20178 yr Learning to sit down to pee will also help... one then dosnt leave up the seat, nor dribble on the seat either...
September 13, 20178 yr Well Charles, I will resist the urge to add to that theme.... Congratulations to you both, and your anvil, of course, from Robert and Sheila Taylor, wed twenty-seven years this month!
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations!! I have purchased your products, and plan to buy more in the future, thanks so much for your work, and again congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations Dave! I still have an image of you as the 15 year old who joined us here but it's been a few years hasn't it. Dave and Sarah, sounds good, you two look good together and the thought of a fresh Custer Muster sounds even better. Please offer the soon to be Sarah Grace Custer my heartiest best wishes and prayers for success in the new venture. Finishing the house together will be a good start in learning to work together. Big adjustments coming, better to make them young than wait as long as I did. This is just toooo cooool. I'm REALLY excited for the both of you. Frosty The Lucky.
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations! Like Frosty mentioned, I still thought of you as the 15 year old smith on here. Time flies.
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations! Hope you are at least as lucky as me. We hit 35 just a few days before your date. She puts up with my stuff, and I love her back! Blessings. Steve
September 13, 20178 yr Congratulations! Praying that the two of you will have a very blessed marriage and stick together your whole life.
September 13, 20178 yr congratulations. In marriage you will learn things that can't be truly learned any other way. May your journey together be blessed
September 14, 20178 yr Congratulations! Remember the adage "happy wife, happy life". It sounds like she is adventurous so you will enjoy making he read happy for sure.
September 14, 20178 yr Dave, congratulations to you and Sarah! You two make a beautiful couple. If you get out of line, she knows to come here to get you straightened out, you know. BTW, "you clean up right nice"
September 14, 20178 yr Author My anvils found out! Actually she's already helped me make two hammers and 15 pairs of tongs. She's a hard worker with a "jump-in-and-help" attitude. (Yeah, she's pretty awesome.) I appreciate the testimonies and examples of long successful marriages and words of encouragement. I'm a strict toilet seat down after use guy, so we're all good there! lol
