December 18, 20196 yr Welcome aboard blangley, good looking bottle openers there. I always suggest reading this to get the best out of the forum. READ THIS FIRST It's full of tips like editing your profile to show location and how to keep off the moderators radar.
December 29, 20196 yr Great variety of openers there, Mark. Love the bulldogs. Did you use the same tool for the ears as for the opener tab?? Very neat!
December 30, 20196 yr Mark those openers are sweet! I also have never seen goose openers. Here are my first horse heads. I think these are my new favorite to forge.
December 31, 20196 yr I keep giving bottle openers away, so I put one in the handle of a spatula I’d made for the kitchen.
January 4, 20206 yr Bliadhna mhath ur to everyone, in the brief period of sobriety between Hogmanay and either today or tomorrow I oh never mind! Happy 2020 all!!!

For the 3rd and 4th days of the year my hand was mostly holding my head. I’m getting too old for Hebridean Hogmanays and all the whisky that goes along with them. However I did manage to make a pair of scrolling tongs out of a bit of rusty donated steel bar. I was fed up of snapping long nose pliers when curling my horns. They are not pretty but work a treat. Although mostly mine turn out looking like fish, yours are great. I usually ruin mine by trying to add ears, after seeing yours and @littleblacksmiths I don’t think they need ears. That means crazygoatlady is off the hook for giving me a way of happy horses with ears pointing forward. Happy hammering!
January 5, 20206 yr I don't do much with the ears but I also don't do things like everyone else. Just do what you like and eventually it will turn out. That's my moto.

I apologize for not getting back to you with that. But I'm glad you have found your way. P.S. I hadn't come up with anything yet so it's a good thing you didn't need me anyway!
January 20, 20206 yr My first attempt at one of those tentacle bottle openers. I think next one I'll start with a little bigger stock and taper it more.
