Here's a few examples of my version of a wizard head hook. Let me know what you think. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a moustache cut right, haven't had one come out yet.

I don't procrastinate. I just consider all the angles. Here are some shots of a little stand I made for the wood turning my wife has. It has a warmer, more bronzey hue to it than the photos show.

Hi! I forged a small leafy kind of pendant for my girlfriend. We're together for 4 years now, I hope she likes it...I myself almost never like what I made I would have liked to make some veins and so on but I had no idea how. I tried some chisels but it looked way too artificial and square edged. So I had to settle for just trying to give some flow and texture with my ball peen and some small tweezers. The gem is a small Perdidot/Olivin I bought and set into a small socket that I had drilled with an engraving tool. She likes green and nature, so I hope it is a fitting combination. Until now I have forged knives most of the time, doing other things is still very h…

Black on red and whatnot, I included some pictures of the process I couldnt tell you how long it took to make it more than 40 hours though I am sure of that I made this for fun and it was pretty fun to make, So I concider it a success I have something else cool I am finishing tomorrow, its pretty rough but it suits the piece also a learning process with more than 30 offsets and 30 holes split and drifted its medevil but I cheated and it doesnt have traditonal journey but honestly at this point it was hard enough for me to even make it fit together lol I want to head down to the states and work but I am also thinking of spending all my money and buying all the s…

Last summer was hot and I was a slacker for getting artwork done so upon finding good stock I crazily made a bunch of dies for my self made air hammer. I like to enter art exhibitions from time to time and I have taken awards. Problem is, having to go up against those with the capabilities for doing cast bronze figuratives and most of the time I lose. The presence of forged and welded steel is next to nothing in these art shows and going in with leaves, twists and scrolls like what someone could buy from King metals just isn’t going to cut it! The follow pictures are of the first tryout of these dies I made to mimic reptile skin. I have ideas of making some realis…

hi all..... this is my latest project. It is Forged steel, copper nails and oak. It is entitled " Prayers for Peace "..... I made this for a competition at my school..... Comments a critique welcome! This is my first proper sculpture! It was made out of 3mm x 100mm flat..... hot cut of course! and bent... The oak is about 6 inches wide and 12 inches long and 2 1/2 inches high... It was beautiful wood! The copper nails are hammered through an appropriately sized hole and into a much tighter one in the oak. The oak was cut and planed by hand a then went progressively down from from 60 grit to 1200 grit to shavings to hands!!! here is a link for the photos.. h…

Well, yes, I have made partial faces, in order to get to the whole. Its time consuming and tedious to get to the place you want to be.First you start with the nose, ( well, I do anyway ) the lips are next, well sometimes, I don't know , I'm getting confused , mix in some eye work,......., Tell yourself it looks like xxxx, be to stubborn to stop, (actually you become curious what it will turn out like) take chances with all your hard work going down the drain, and sometimes ...... you get lucky.

My first post.. Alas, the annual problem; what to get my parents for their respective Birthdays. Having started the Smithing last Fall, I finally have a new asset to draw from. I made the weathervane for pops and a coat rack for the momma. While I like the weathervane the best, I am really starting to get in the wood-forging groove. The coat rack board was donated by a dear old cherry tree that grew and died (natural causes) in our backyard. Regardless, both gifts are from the heart and soul. Enjoy....
