Not enough time over lunch today as I had another errand to run that was time critical. Perhaps tomorrow.

I am sensitive to scents and the prevailing idea that *EVERYTHING* should be scented if not over scented gives me trouble too.  I had an interesting discussion once with the help line for a deodorant company asking them if their product was "unscented" why did the ingredient list say  "fragrance" on it?  They lost a customer on that one!

I vote for the go pro!

I was walking through Sears maybe Penny's many years ago a few days before Christmas when some knucklehead at the women's cosmetics counter stepped out and sprayed a lady walking past with perfume.

I stuck around to witness the riot act being read to every level of management available. They were righteously panicking, the lady's face and bare arm were turning red and blotchy while she screamed at them. she was threatening a law suit for criminal negligence, spraying people without warning risking allergic reactions and potential deaths.

Not one of the store folk nor the EMTs noticed the lady kept wringing her arm and rubbing her face to keep it red and blotchy. I don't know what she walked out of there in gift cards along with her purchases but it put a halt to spraying random passersby with anything.

I wanted to congratulate her on the performance but she finished shopping with an escort and red carpet treatment.

I always HATED getting spritzed with cologne in stores, I sure wish I'd thought of that.

I hold my breath as long and as much as possible when I walk down the laundry detergent aisles in grocery stores or discount stores...if not, I end up sneezing my head off.  And, I don't suffer from allergies.  It's all the "fragrances" and scents they load the soap up with!

I'm thinking of going over at lunch time and asking directly!

If your co-op is anything like ours, going in person to talk with someone is futile. Every time I have tried that, the stock answer is they are all in a meeting. I once waited 4 hours and finally gave up, which I'm sure is their plan. My concern was their planned use of defoliant (agent orange) in the power line easements on our property. Prior to that they used a crew with chain saws to keep it clear.

I finally had a friend who is an attorney send them a letter. Within a couple of days someone came to the house with all the paper work to prevent it's use on the 1/4 mile line of our place.

Wednesday Oct 27: No sign of SEC

Thursday Oct 28: went in at lunch.  SEC Front Desk person called supervisor of the Dept in question:  I am on the schedule *tomorrow* and 3 days next week.  (For a one day job?).   I'll believe it when I see it!    Now to get the electrician scheduled and the inspection scheduled and a chance I'll have power in time to go spend Thanksgiving in Las Cruces and Albuquerque....I hope to get enough time to do a bit of tweaking, perhaps I'll tell my kids that LED shop lights make excellent birthday gifts!

Wait for it!...Wait for it!...Wait for it---SEC just called my wife and told her that the lead on our project is sick and maybe he will be back in and work on it next week!

I'm going to go listen to "Time" by Pink Floyd, "A Hazy Shade of Winter" by Simon and Garfunkel, and "Knife Edge", by Emerson Lake and Palmer.  Then maybe mellow out to Werke Für Laute, J.S.Bach...

And people wonder why other people "go postal."

I have to wonder if the lead was also "sick" last week when the job was originally scheduled.  I'd schedule an appointment with the supervisor's supervisor and make sure your file was on his desk for your meeting.

Deep, cleansing breaths, Thomas.  Count backwards from 10,000,000.

Perhaps have a copy present in you lawyer's brief case when you visit? There is at least one lawyer in your congregation isn't there?

Counting backwards from 10mil in Yiddish is even more effective at taking your mind of things.

The annoying thing is that; if it's my "contact", then he is liable to be out a long while for shoulder surgery,  but of course they can't tell me anything but "he's out sick".   I can ask around at Church Sunday; I'm one of the readers and am tempted to ask folks to "pray hard for the SEC cause they need it!"
