What did you do in the shop today?

Greetings Golfishunt,

Neet idea .  LOL You will need to forge another bracket to fit the other mounting hole in the grinder. You will find that the single mounting will loosen. I know you don’t have a welder so if you wish I will weld it for you . Or you can drill and rivet.

Sir Thomas is correct, 1/4x1 strap screwed to the end of a scrap 2x4, the handle of the angle grinder through the strap. Mount in a convenient vise. Both hands free.

Impressive project Crew!

Jim, the handle was the only bolt I could find in my shop with the correct threads. Used it for quite a while without it loosening. Just call me Mr. Makeshift.

Dave

Those stairs are quite impressive Old Crew!

Greens Keeper that's a great vise stand too, and your grinder mount also GolFisHunt!

It's time I got back to work...

Greetings Golfishunt,

The bolt size on most grinders is 8 mm x 1.25 x 3/4 long . Home Depot has them.

I agree with the good looking chances, but despite my very rusty french, I believe the translation is ... "Life is nothing but luck and chance"

however ... je peux me tromper :)

Made this belt buckle made from a broken lawn mower blade

Love it !

Finished up a horse shoe and nail cross for a friend last night. Idea was borrowed from one of many I've seen online.

Thanks. It's all welded from the backside.

Das, beautiful cross. I love it

Das ist a beautiful cross ... ha ha, love both the cross and the sentence :)

Nice job on the rose donnie. The real rose in the background is a nice touch

Beautiful cross Das. I'm thinking very marketable product.

Darn nice rose Donnie, well done all round.

Frosty The Lucky.

Thanks, Jasent. My better half took the picture. I’m not that smart.

Thanks, Frosty.

Thanks Marc, Frosty.

Donnie, nice work on the rose. How is it mounted?

Thanks. It’s affixed to the marble with a 10-32 screw and nut. The hole is countersunk on the bottom.

I followed up the fab table clean up with making brackets from some road found  iron, mounted to the wall above head height, with a scaffold platform for the shelf, and got a bunch of 5 gallon buckets full of stuff off the floor.....this organizing bug is getting  to me. Working on a design for a vertical rack to hold Japanese naginata for a prospective client.
