Finally decided to put monorail up over outside portion of shop. Have support beam up.
Tomorrow will set monorail.
Just need to grout column bolts and it will be finished
should be nice for loading/ unloading.
I like it! Gives me some ideas for the future.
Great job, looks like you are located in a rather lovely spot, ver private and picturesque !!
Sold old hammer to make room for new one.
Devided to move anvil into vacated space.
Installed conveyor belt under hammer for vibration control
And dig old gas forge out and put back in use.
New shop anvil!!
Sweet anvil! Did it come from overseas?
Yes. But I bought it from guy in Texas.
That's a beauty! Were I to come by one of that pattern I'd have to paint the whiskers on the horn.
Frosty The Lucky.
thanks.....I agree....I'm fighting the urge.........
You may want to add a rain cover over the outside rail system. It would keep things out there dry until you could use them.
hopefully , in time, the entire outside shop will have a roof.......but now that shop if functional i get too busy with smithing.
Sweet anvil. Love the horn.
is the hardy hole curved and will you need new tooling?
yes, curved hardy, not big deal to me as i don't use a lot of hardy tooling on main anvil, usually just a hot cut which i will make.
I keep a smaller anvil that is used for tooling.
yesterday was first real day of forging on it.....love it.
Installed alarm and prepped doors for magnetic switches today.
Also started working again on door latch for back door of shop.
Finally got around to fabricating and having buddies brick me a gasser.
Bought some chili burners.
