JHCC
Great work, alexandr, as always. Having lost all my knuckle hair to the dragon’s breath, I decided to make a pair of pick-up tongs: The bosses came out a little undersized, but not excessively for the light duty they’ll be doing. May need to tweak the curves of the jaws a bit more, but this is what I could get done before the forge ran out of gas.

JHCC
Forged the blade for a ballock dagger. NB: it’s straighter than it looks. There’s a visual distortion from the light and the sway on the anvil.

Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Your dagger blank looks good, nothing grinding won't fix.

Arthur210
Made a steel fire pot for my side blast charcoal forge. More detail in a seperate topic.
Cannon Cocker
Irondragon Forge &Clay - You can cancel that 6 month reminder on your phone! I made a swing arm Fuller and 1/4" hot punch. I still need to clean up the cutting end and bevel the struck end...... But I've been working since 2 AM so I'm calling it quits for the night! Chris J Dixon
After I salvaged my treadmills, I tried my hand at a few things. My first bottle opener (was and eye opener), broke the bedrail tings working the too cold. Welded them and will try again tomorrow. Made a handle for my brushes and a couple candle holders. Das inspired me to try making one like his. For a newb, it turned out pretty good. A couple different textures on it. Ball peen on the base and wood grain on the handle. That really tested me but was super fun!
Daswulf
Looks good Chris. What did you use to make the depression for the candle? I've been wanting to make some of those candle holders that hang in mason jars. Cool.
Chris J Dixon
Thanks. I used a piece of axle shaft and a round of garage door spring. The old ones where the door opened out and up is the right size and already round so no extra shaping.

I like your handle, all of my small punches are held by a pair of small rivet tongs with a clip.

ADHD-forge
My first atempt at forgewelding. I'm trying to make a drawknife, its still a rough forging but will get there.

Cannon Cocker
Well I broke my 1/4 punch... Which made me set the brackets to the side for now. But I had a few other things needing my attention. I assembled a set of box jaw tongs and a set of knife tongs that I had bought from Ken's custom iron quite a while ago. Then I started forging a couple of hunting knifes. The plain skinner is for my son, the one with the gut hook is for the rancher that let my son bag his first antelope on his property last fall. Sorry for the picture being a little graphic, but I love the smile on my boys face in this picture!
Daswulf
Well I know what hunts do cannon. Nice. On top of planting some stuff today, I finished 3 more roses. 4 done for this show. They go quick. Ugh. Maybe I should charge more.
Ted Ewert
My son told me he needed a hanger for his wireless headphones he uses at work, so I built him this: Simple, but it serves the purpose. I finished this Jewelry hanger for my daughter too...
Chris J Dixon
Nice stuff Ted. Good looking tongs Cannon Cocker. Love that huge smile. Was it his first?
Chris J Dixon
Didn’t get much shop time today. Finished the bedrail tongs, fitted to a railroad spike, and added a little something to the candle holder.

Cavpilot2k
Banged out two new knife-shaped objects and got them in the anneal for hand filing - I don't have a belt grinder yet. Nothing fancy, but forged from 1084. Both will be hidden tang, but I may leave the tang exposed on the spine side, so the tangs do need some cleaning up, and maybe straightening on the chef knife to bring it in line with the spine. Is there a term for that - Partial-hidden-tang? These are my 6th and 7th forged blades, respectively.
