He is a basic mutt, mother is Terrier Dachshund mix and his father is undetermined. He won't be very big, perfect lap dog and smart as a whip. He's already bonded with our Shepherd/Rotti female who is 20 times his size and being good to him with gentle corrections (stay away from my food dish). ausfire
I heard one of our American visitors refer to dachshunds as 'wiener dogs'. Hadn't heard that before.
Daswulf
Yup Aus. Well known here as that.
Hans Richter
A nice little rascal IDFG, your Dachshund (badger dog), maybe my dog's family. Every time I ask him 'What are these girls doing in Amsterdam' he does that. Strange right? Nice to see that a lot of smith brothers still have a second common hobby, keeping and pampering dogs. Hans, I am not familiar with the acronym IDFG. But I am willing to learn. Befpre posting this note, I diligently searched the net and found two suggested definitions. Drum roll please. Number one) "I don't feel good", & Number two) "Idaho Fish and Game". Those two definitions do not seem to be correct. Would you please advise? SLAG. Still learning. Hans Richter
Dear Dan, you know I’m quit lazy. So the IDFG actually IDFC, means no more and no less then Iron Dragon Forge & Clay apologies for the letter confusion. IFVSFT = I feel very sorry for that
SLAG
Hans, Thank you for your reply. Now I have just learned a new acronym. SLAG.

BillyBones
Well here's my best friend Ziggy. He is just a mutt. The vet says he knows for sure he has German Shepard, Boxer, Lab, and Pit. And most likely some others. Loyal to a fault, smart as a whip and the bestest dog ever (well i am a little biased.)
