  1. Hey Benton, I missed this one. Looks good! What are you using for a drift? If you have not purchased one yet, you mentioned kayne n sons, but another source is Hawkins knife making supplies, they have polls for full size and mouse, as well as drifts. I purchased my full size drift from imountainforge (the site is Iron Mountain Forge, but to get it to pull up on google, use the condensed version). hope it came out okay! Regards.
  2. Thanks for posting all the pics guys! Now to make them...
  3. I like it! Sort of a "Green River" point. With the wood color, it looks like it could be kin to the two Frank recently posted. Are you going to make a sheath?
  4. Still..., great idea Charles! So did you weld the square stock on for the handle after you drew it out, or what was your process? We use cast a lot, both at home and camping. Thanks for posting! Dennis .
  5. Nice knives, Frank! The small one wouldmake a great neck knife, if your so inclined. The color on the sheaths are nice...good to see colors of home (NM).
  6. Another nice one. What steel did u use? Hamon came out nice! Never mind...just re-read the title.."W2".
  7. Thanks for posting your test and data / info!
  8. Man, thats BBQing with style! nice job. I also love your choice of wood.
  9. REAL nice job, Brad! I like that one a lot!
  10. Nice job. Good looking hammer!
  11. Looks like a real fine.....hawket? nice job what ever you call it!
  12. John, thank you very much for posting your synopsis, and the pdf! Regards! Dennis
  13. This shows up with guitar players. Some have to change strings quite often because of their skin type, others can play on a set of strings for a long time before getting too corroded.
  14. Now that's just cooler than the other side of the pillow! That's quite a load.
  15. There was a singer, Townes Van Zandt, sang a song 'days up and down they come, like rain on a congo drum, forget most, remember some, but don't turn none away'. the shorter that tape gets, the more you appreciate the days you got. Never knowwhen that tape could slip, roll up fast and pinch your finger! :) Okay, time to get busy!
  16. Nice job, looks like a keeper. My wife gets mad at me, as I will pull over on the road and wait for traffic to clear to get tools out of the road....'waste not' and all that. One of my favorate knives was a Buck 55 I found and cleaned up. Now I lost it, hope it found a good home...
