You got it Randy! Debi is on my list.

Here's hoping she recovers and heals even faster than my Deb!

Frosty The Lucky.

She will be in our thoughts and prayers.  One of the issues of getting older is that it is harder to get and install replacement parts. ;=)

Mr. Dragon,

I  (SLAG), and Marg have added her name to our list of thoughts and prayers and intentions.

A Charnly is highly installable, and has been used for at least about fifty years.

Hang in there

Dan.

Good luck. Hip replacement for me was a great and good thing!

Thanks everyone for the support. Debi came through the procedure with flying colors no complications and is in recovery right now. She should be back hammering in no time. Love y'all

Great!  We wish her well during the rehab.  She won't be dancing tomorrow but she should be mobile pretty soon.

Good NEWS! Give Debi a big warm Frosty hug for me please.:) Please advise her only way off my list is to dances off it.

Great news!!  I just read the first post where you said she was going in, then next thing, she's out!  Those hillbilly AR docs work fast!!

Well wishes, and we will continue to hold her in our prayers...

Great news. Thanks for the update.

Just an update. She spent the night Tuesday in the hospital for observation. Everything was good to go, so they fed her a very good breakfast and lunch Wednesday and kicked her out that afternoon. Home now and doing great using a walker (I had to move some furniture around) to accommodate it. Again, thank everyone for all the support.

Good to hear that.  Healing and physical therapy should make it possible for her to dispose of the walker fairly soon.  Keep us updated of her progress.

I hear hips don't take nearly as long to heal up as knees. Deb only used the walker for a couple weeks and I got to move stuff back where is belonged. Deb and I walked a mile today and she's not too sore. Kicking the rock last Sunday really got her but its clearing up nicely.

I had a hip replacement summer before last in June and by September I was back working on my new shop.

Debi is doing really well on her recovery. Going into week three and she is using a cane sometimes, but the Home health PT and Nurse who come three days a week on alternating days, still want her using the walker most of the time, at least till she sees the surgeon this Thursday. Both are amazed at the speed she is recovering. She gets her staples out tomorrow.

We had a curve ball thrown at us this evening. Her mom fell at her assisted living facility and was transported to the hospital. She broke her pelvis and they admitted her. Fortunately Debi's sister was able to handle that mess for us. We won't know anything until tomorrow. But I suspect Ma will have to go to a nursing/rehab home till she is ambulatory. Debi is afraid that they will want to do surgery and at 93 Ma, might not survive the anesthetic, but she is a tough old bird so I'm not sure.

Good news, give Debi a high five for me!

That's a real downer about your MIL, I'll hold her in my heart and prayers. Give her my best please.

Awesome news about Debi!
keep us posted on Ma, I hope they get her fixed up without much trouble

Man, when it rains, it pours.  Good news on Debi's progress.  Hope Ma comes through the broken pelvis ok.  That's a tough one at 93.
