Les Paul Guitar

"Less Paul" guitar
Scrap sculpture of a Les Paul. 45" tall, 14 3/4" wide, 2 1/2" deep.

Flame "colored" then clearcoated with high temp exhaust paint.

Has 3 nuts welded on to be screw mounts if it was to be mounted to a wall.

Thank you Farmall!

Nicely done.  I had to stare at it before I started to see all the detail in the guitar.  Clever!

very cool

Thanks Dave, 58er.

I almost loaded it up with bits and pieces, which would have beed fun to look at and identify but it wasnt working for This one. Perhaps another but this one I felt simpler was better. It does have some little less noticable bits. There is a "cable jack" and "strap pegs"

Very nice Das. Sometimes an artist needs to know when to quit. Just as music has its pauses or blank spaces, art pieces sometimes require empty spaces to make them look better. There are of course times and styles when you cram as much stuff as possible into a piece so the observer can spend a lot of time noticing the details.

You're getting better at this fast Das. This one is a real pleasure to look at. I'll bet it makes interesting shadows.

Frosty The Lucky.

I'll have to shine some light at it and see. :) might make for some interesting photos.

Das. Thats one very cool maytag les paul !!!!!   How much dies it weigh?   I just watched a video of a guy that built a strat with 1200 glued together colored pencils. Pretty neat.

Thanks. It's 10.4lbs according to my bathroom scale.

I've seen some pretty neat homemade playable guitars as well.

This is so sick man. What are those thing called that you made the curvy base with. It was the humps on each end so you can connect them together im curious what they are called

Thanks.

You can find it by searching "steel detachable chain"  It is a chain used on older farm equipment. This one was a full loop that I shaped.

Daswulf- that is an absolute work of art! You have an incredible talent for seeing opportunities where others would see scrap. Inspirational.

I hope you're getting a seriously hefty pricetag if you're selling it! The right customer would pay a hell of a lot of money for that kind of work.

Awesome work, Daswolf!  Nice, clean look.  Time, skill, and patience produce nice results.

Well executed and I agree the detail is just enough. Very pleasing to the eye. The new owner is indeed lucky and I am sure will enjoy it.
