  1. I know I will. I won't give up. I was getting better as I went.
  2. they usually have a pose. Fingers are important. I can always het the torch out.
  3. Pushed through this girl after some failed nails. It's an off night I think. Nails were out of higher carbon steel. This dancing girl was hanging out. I hate the " jazz hands" thing. I'll sleep on it. ( not literally) Ben, it turned out nice.
  4. Oh! And you made it Bigger! Lol generally emulating someone's work " not for profit or not taking away from their income, if they designed it, is ok I think. What do I know.
  5. I have read briefly about that before somewhere. There might be a video out there somewhere too. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Wow Big Gun, I had no idea. I have got the old code enforcement love letters so I move stuff around and clean up a little. On rare occasion I get rid of something " usually a car or two". Then they leave me alone for a couple years. That's a scary thought dealing with what you went through. I will agree there are many people around us all that are willing to help us if we just ask. " or plead in crisis". You Will always find out who the good guys are when you are in need. No doubt you would do the same. It's hard to lose stuff but you gained something in return. I'd be glad to help you with your monument I know where you are coming from with that. I wish I could afford a 20 foot tall privacy fence with razor wire on the top around the property without going to jail to get it. Everything happens for a reason weather we understand it or not.
  7. I will be attacking that header with many nails till I get it right! It was great meeting JHCC tonight. hope he would come out again. I forgot something to give him something anyway... Just got done metal detecting in the old orchard. "Where does the time go?" Yeah, metal detecting on a hill with a head lamp on in the dark. Didn't find anything good. Thought I did for a minute but it ends up the non cans/ bottle caps might end up part of a sculpture. Ah well. Still didn't find my pocket knives or my great grandfathers gold ring. JHCC, thanks for hanging out and a great time!
  8. Excellent work. What did you do to the top of the square tube to attach the wood?
  9. If I'm out that way I'd be sure to stop by.
  10. Nice work. He look a little upset.
  11. Just look up jurustic park on YouTube. I watched some videos of his place. Frosty, does Clyde ever sleep? I'd like to see his place in person some day.
  12. Nice score C-1. I tell ya, That kid is something else, growing by leaps and bounds, it's great to see such talent.

The vise I have set up currently has that issue as well. It isn't a problem for what I do yet so it will have to wait for a makeover until I get my new workbench built and my other vise mounted.
  15. He's pretty cool. Sometimes a sculpture can take a mind of its own and it can be fun to see where it ends up.
  16. Very sad. Prayers for him and his friends and family. And congratulations to his son for the work he put in to make Eagle Scout. I'm sure Mike was very proud of him.
  17. Thank you both for the great stories. I agree we (the general public) never hear them or know much about it. It's great to get some insight.
  18. Will do Darryl. They are in my thoughts and prayers.
  19. Ouch Kevin. If smoking in my shop, throw the butt on the concrete floor or in the forge. They get swept up later or burned up. If outside just stomp it out. It'll eventually deteriorate. That sight would make my stomach sink bad. The most dangerous tools in my shop are the ones I respect the most ( like the 1hp buffer grinder with wire wheels on it.) so I usually get lightly bit more by the usually more tame tools ( like the Air angle die grinder with 3in. Roloc wheels ) as I guess I pay a little less attention to using them.
  20. Like the others said, excellent work Mark. That knife is very nice and I really like the handle design.
  21. The flatter looks nice. That's a box I would be eyeing to buy at the right price for sure.
