I have a supplier that will give me a complete clutch kit for my Ford Ranger for less than $50 and I have guys on the payroll who could fit it quite inexpensively yet I don't use my veichles in this fasion {odd I know} maybe I should give it a bash with the mini digger or a skid steer.

the above is sound advice! yet , there is merit in buying expensive tool steel and doing it wrong! as it's a lesson well remembered. to the OP , many a smith with oodles of experience uses coil spring for drifts(and not just because we're cheap )

that said it would be easy to whip up something suitable with schedule pipe, tools req. lathe welding machine and a couple of plasma/laser/flame cut "ears" depending on location bolts like that/or similar cam be "off the shelf "or made up none the less not really difficult stuff,

if its for pool water It could be made from 304 tube with "" ears welded on for guys ïn the know"" not really difficult nor that spendy. if its for low pressure and potable water a galvanised top ring and pvc parts could do the job. however none of this work requires a forge!

if it breaks it was probably some sub-standard "civvy junk and not ""proper"" issue

a really good chamber is an old pressure cooker from a thrift store or an old pressure pot for painting. far from big bucks.

that ring looks cast. however it would be a doddle for a machine shop to make up! are you looking for a repair or copies of sorts? sadly I can't help with the work but advice no problem!

when it comes to the why /wherefore and how wrt. electronics I'm in the dark! however I have a 50KVA(whatever that means) induction unit and the ""inverter box"" weighs about 30 kgs. and that seems to be mostly electronics I had been in touch with Grant Sarver in the early days sharing info hence my questions re "have you used one?" one board and some capacitors? if you were closer I'd suggest you come and play with this one! Maybe you should think about posting a thread asking about one near your location then visiting and trying it out? this sort of research can only be positive and hopefully will help you achieve success in your endeavour! good luck Ian
