Your Thoughts and Prayers Please

Featured Replies

I am writing this post from my hospital bed. I am asking for your thoughts and prayers, as I have developed a rather nasty head tic. We are on the case. I had any MRI and a CT and an EEG. The doctors and I are all putting our heads together in the morning. I will keep everyone updated. Thank you all.

Archiphile, You are on the prayer list here. Hope and pray the Docs figure it out and get you up and at'em.

Well I have the results of all of the tests. All scans show that everything is normal. No liesions, no tumors. All the parts of my brain are still there and intact. The scans also show that I actually have a brain, who knew, guess that I will have to put it to more use. (I've got the pictures to prove it)

So the doctors and I are still at a loss as to what is causing this to happen. Blood test have all come back normal. I have an appointment with some Movement specialists at Boston University. I will let you all know what we find out.

Thank you all for you thoughts and prayers.

Best,

Archiphile

I'll keep the prayers coming till you know what's what.

Nice pic though I really don't want to get that far into any of you guys' head!

On the other hand it'd make a pretty cool repousse project, especially the eyeballs.

Nice blueprint! Now was that a simple clean cut through the center, polished up to 600 grit? Oh, and what did they use to bring out the pattern, ferric chloride? I had no idea how similar smithing and modern medicine were, perhaps I'll give it a try.. :)

Seriously though, I trust everything will be sorted out and the solution is a simple one. On the bright side, you're so fortunate to have a computer in the hospital! When I was in for a few weeks they wouldn't let me have one, sure would have been nice to pass the time, there's only so much tv one can watch! Hang in there.

My prayers for you also... I had what the Doc's thought was a "mini stroke" mystery back in 2005...Had all the test and could not find any problems, evidence of stroke nor damage. I' keep you in my prayers, thanks be to God, for both of us!

Archiphile, knee mail your way from texas. Hope everything turns out good .

Just thought that I would give a quick update. I have seen the neurologist and he said that it will all go away and that I should not wory about it. Yeah right, I have a few choice words for that. I have another appointment with a different neurologist in June. Meanwhile, I am bed ridden, I have not been able to do any smithing let alone my normal daily chores. My fiancee has had to help me in and out of bed as my legs will not support me. I walk short distances with a cane, and we have rented a wheelchair for various outings to the doctors as I cannot walk long distances. I have fallen twice suddenly so now I live in the bedroom upstairs, watch the boob tube and knit. I am without a computer of my own. I am writing from my fiancee's computer. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Keep'em coming that the doctors will find out what is happening to me and I can find out how to fix what is going on and get back to my life.

Best,

Archiphile

Whatever you do, don't give up hope and take no prisoners.

Thinking of you.

George
