  1. Thanks , I will give riveting a try. I have been soaking the blower in a gal. of evapo-rust. I never tried it before, it is working very well. I have been rolling the parts around to submerge the bits that need rust cleaned off, between that and cleaning the teeth out with a screw driver I have i spinning.
  2. I am glad I read this and ThomasPowers post below, I was looking for info on how to remove the gears on a blower I just got that was very ceased. I guess I will leave the gears and shafts in the case. It does need ether the fan replaced or repaired as 2 vanes are rusted. Maybe rivet sheet metal on to the damaged vanes? Open to sugestions. Dan
  3. I have used Bar Keepers Friend to scrub rust. It works well for scrubbing rust spots. It uses Oxalic acid.
  4. Did you ever have any interaction with Team O'Neil Rally school Or Tim O'Neil ?
  5. That is awesome! I have been looking at home built campers out of cargo trailers so I can hall motorcycles and sleep in them. It seems really hard to find info on camper windows, doors and pluming supplies. Could you send me some info on where you got your stuff and how you did it? I really like the looks of that! thanks Dan
  6. They make trauma shears for diving. google dive rite trauma shears.
  7. I know nothing about titanium but a good dive knife should be able to cut wire, rope, anything a diver could get wrapped up in. The knife should match the type of diving, Sport, wreck, Salvage. Good wire cutters on a lanyard make a more useful tool most times.
  8. Steve, Did you buy the wax locally? I live in NH and was wondering where you got it?
  9. I am so impressed every time I see your work! They are great!
  10. Almost sounds like plantar fasciitis , you may want to google it. I tended to ware the same shoes everyday for a really long time, when I notice foot, hip or back pain I need to get new shoes. good luck
  11. I have a bench version of the pedestal bender. I think it is all but useless. I spent more time trying to get something to work than and fit in the bender than making anything. The other one looks like it would work better.
  12. Is the Swag block new? Is there a place to buy one?

  14. That is a very nice knife, I would have been proud to make that! I think you did a great job, everything I see you post on here looks great.
  15. This was a great afternoon! Lucian did a very interesting demo. Had some fun with trying out a coal forge before he showed up, and worked with a guy starting a bottle opener. I wish there was something like this every weekend close by. Ben's Mill is worth the trip to check it out, lots of neat stuff there. Great folks too.
