  2. the church window anvil... tho the wood one is awesome, the actual anvil is pure gold.
  3. hold on while I cry and throw up for a while..... ok. who cares what it is. It's a beautiful anvil......does it have good rebound?
  4. enjoy on! I know I am. keep doing what you are doing when you can do it.
  5. Two to three inches deep has been good for me. That's just me tho. 2" for small stuff and 3 for larger. It is opinion based and others have different experiences. im still learning myself after 3 years.
  6. Thats a great little "make you smile" piece.
  7. The fire pot looks a bit deep IMO, but overall Nice work!
  8. Love your anvil build! How has it held up? Thanks for sharing and your "broken" english is better then some that it is their first language.
  9. I have the same problem with scrap yards. I still find stuff. Just gatta keep your eyes and ears open. But man... Scrap yard would be a candy store to me.
  10. lately I've been trying out Krylon cover maxx flat clear coat spray can clear sold at wallyworld. so far it is good other than scratching by other metal. I'm still working on this too. also the worst sculpture incident I have dealt with is a son in-law hitting one made with spark plugs with a weed wacker lol.
  11. with the right scrap its easy. nice work.

    Pinning tongs

Like Thomas said. Unless you are using a pointed punch. Then that would be bad for the face of your anvil. Also the nut under the boss is just a spacer for when you are riveting the first head of the rivet so that you will have the length you need for the other sides head. Might help to include some pictures, or to be more descriptive of what you are doing and using to do it.
  14. Need I say it's another beautiful knife from you? Yes it is! very inspirational. I love the eye candy! Thanks so much for sharing your work.
  15. Awe come on. Where's the challenge in that!
  16. Lol. Sometimes the small stuff it tough to make.
  17. I'll agree that I love the bear. Very nice work over all ant the shocks on the lid are a great idea. Well done.
  18. Very cool CT. If you start showing friends these you are going to be as busy as you can stand to be you are really nailing these bikes. I'll admit I know about nothing about em but they are looking great to me.
  19. Nice! Love the clinker getter. I'll have to make one of those.
  20. My mother is deathly affraid of snakes so I never show her the ones I make. Some people get the willies just looking at a picture on my phone of either the snakes or spiders. I used to be terrified of spiders but have since gotten over my fear.
