  1. Thanks Jim, when discussing what size my buddy wanted them to be he half joked about the poking ability. They are "matching" his and hers for stocking stuffers. I like the design tho and will make more when time allows.
  2. I was thinking tin smithing tool too.
  3. howd you make the holes in the knuckle guard? cool design. think the sharpened curve after the blade might have been better dull. just an opinion. lil more finish work could help too. just the opinion of a non knife maker that likes blades.
  4. Charles, you and Sandy are always in my prayers and thoughts. My shoulder is always available to you.
  5. Got measurements. He is 24 3/4" tall by about 23" deep by about 10" wide. Roughly 36" feet nose to tail tip. Huh, don't know how that worked out that way.
  6. Nathan Thanks. Frosty, I don't. This one was rusted up and busted up from the pile of scrap I got from my neighbor. I have small ones but this is the only large one I have other then some a little smaller that I have to actually use. Know where I can find a pile of them? This was my first time working with chain saw chain and man is it some mean stuff to play with.
  7. I have also scraped or sold good parts for about nothing before. Won't happen any more
  8. Will do Glenn. I even took up a yardstick to use but my brain was spent and photos should have waited until I was fully with it. Ugh that's what happens when your tired but really excited.
  9. Thanks Ironmike. I am still using my MIG welder for these. Pretty sure I will finally start practicing with my TIG welder after this busy time of the year. Robert, I'm pretty sure it was about that size before I forged his tail out. Might not be quite that tall now but I will find out. Actually just looked at one of my pictures and it is marked size 36
  10. That's a cool little mouse Kal.
  11. Robert, Tubalcain, Thank you! Robert I will send you a PM when I get home from work. He is a big guy, but of course in my being tired and rushing to get home for dinner I forgot to put in something for scale and never measured him. will do that tonight.
  12. Got this big busted up rusty pipe wrench in a pile of scrap and wanted to try a lizard but it was such a big wrench that it had to be a dinosaur. The wrench is a Trimont so it's a Trimontasaurus. No frilled lizards here. Still working on photography. It still needs work but I'm on it. Mod edit: Size He is 24 3/4" tall by about 23" deep by about 10" wide. Roughly 36" feet nose to tail tip.
  13. Aus, great score! Scales? Smaller feathers? Eyes.... Good stuff whatever they will end up. When the time is right they will tell you what they want to be.
  14. Dang CT! That's a great chess set! I know many a people that would love it. That's why I won't show them lol. They are cheap and would want me to make them one. Great work.
  15. I'm going to be a bit respectful and hold off on the plows but I'm not sure they are worth what they are worth in art parts. I'll see. That gear is great. I have too many ideas for one gear lol. Some large ideas and some smaller projects. You wouldn't sway me to say what you see in it, I might even borrow your idea lol. On a side note, it's really cool that John Deere stamped or cast their name in so many parts on those things. Back with more pride in craftsmanship.
  16. I got the other plow from my neighbor. Another John Deere. He had asked $100. Because he thought it was in better shape but looking at it it is missing parts and has some major broken parts. i gave him $80 for it and nabbed another gear off of an old roll up door he had. He is happy and I'm happy.
  17. Really nice CT. Great shadow picture!
  18. I talked with the neighbor last night and he has another more complete plow that he will sell me for $100. Im going to go over and check it out today. I will hold off on doing anything to the John Deere until I have talked with some collectors. Alan some of luck out and survive to get older.
  19. diet pop is worse for you then regular pop. and that is just my opinion I dont drink pop. but if I did i'd prefer pepsi.
  20. I prefer bituminous but get no coal. when I'm asked to give a piece out or two I give Anthrocite since it is harder and less desirable to me. given a choice, Give me coke.
  21. LOL Farmall. I'll see what I can find out as I disassemble the spreader. never know it might be stamped somewhere.
