I like the slated one. I think with some kind of texturing it would be really cool. My sister in law would love it on a coffee table.

Simple design that suits the timber frame nicely. You hit that one on the head.

In July of 1999 I was burned at work. A sawdust silo exploded and I was run over by the truck I was loading. I had a 27% burn, 4 broken ribs, 3 fractures to my scapula, and nerve damage to my shoulder. Both of my hands, half of my left arm and most of my back were skin grafted. A long hospital stay, twice daily dressing changes, 3 graft surgeries, physical therapy, compression suit, none of this was even a little bit fun. Guess where the skin for the grafts came from! Infection is the biggest problem with deep burns. Ordinary burns and blisters hurt and are annoying, but deep burns need medical attention.

The flower adds a nice touch.

I have 2 power hammers, 2 anvils, and a hydraulic press is under construction. But I really would like a fly press.

Just my opinion but, learn to make your own pattern welded steel and hang that beautiful old shot gun on the wall.

I have saw a forge and chimney just like that. It took quite a bit of news paper to get it to draw but did well after it heated up.

My current house doesn't have a fireplace but growing up we had a wood stove with a flue in the center of the house. The flue cap had 4 legs the set inside the opening. The cap extended about 3" on all sides with a slight downward bend. The cap was about 12" above the top of the flue and had wire mesh with about 1/2" openings to keep out the critters.

The wheelchair and hospital bed are probably clues to how he came about perfecting this skill. I went through some occupational therapy several years ago and was really surprised with what they have you use to regain motion and dexterity.

I'll second that! Phil's brakes are leather sewn to nylon web and work great.

A33, Atlantic 33, Flutagon, all the same thing. Not non-standard or self-created terms at all. been around since the 1940's.
