biocmp Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Hello to everyone, I'm completely new to blacksmithing and instead of just reading about it, I want to get in and see if this is something as enjoyable as it looks. Are there any smiths in this area that wouldn't mind someone who wants to learn? Are there any classes? I'm interested in all aspects of metal work, especially edge tools. I was simply wondering if there were individuals from St. Louis who wouldn't mind having someone around or who teaches formal classes. I've found some older posts on here as well but I'm not sure if those people are still here or if they are still blacksmithing so I wanted to make a new post. I know there are some in the St. Louis area maybe they will see your post. I am in southern Iron county about 2.5 hours south of St. Louis.
