  15. Could it be that you made the pattern to small to see? Not sure but I remember hearing some where there is a point the pattern will disappear. I do not know but would like to hear what some of the others say here.
  16. One thing I learned from my teacher is when the out side is to temp you clap it in a vice and let the inside of the billet come up in temp then back into the forge to welding temp. Also hit the billet in over lapping hammer blows and do not hit when it loses its color, hitting it cold will break the welds
  17. beatiful work very awsome wire work. You should do a blue print on how you do that
  18. "First make a hole..I punch these usually, and let them cool slowly, and after that I then take one of those "rod saws" and cut the design." What is a rod saw?
  19. beatiful work how would copper tubing work instead of steel tubing for the water flow. Using different metals would add a different demention to your work
  20. The way I was taught (by a master bladesmith) to weld cable is to either weld the ends or tie them with wire to keep them from fraying out as you hammer them. Also heat to a dull red and tighten the twist of the cable before forge welding.

Jimmy I am glad to hear the good news and that the prayers helped. He will most likely need support as his diet changes and othe things need to be done so will pray for you and the rest of the family to have the wisdom to give him that support.
