Glenn
When you are chasing a gnat for hide and tallow, you sometimes get caught up in the chase and forget it is a gnat. Gnats can get expensive. Glenn
Glenn
Reminds me of a story about a fellow visiting a foundry and watching an old workman polishing church door. When asked, " How you know when it's finished?", he answered, "It's never finished. They just come and take it away." JHCC

Glenn
Lessons in life are a learning experience. The tests to see if we learned from these lessons are sometimes graded on the pass / fail system.

Glenn
Personally my safety track record forging far exceeds any other safety anything.. Burns, well they are part of the job and after all these years I got used to it.. I prefer 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 1st degree burns while at the forge.. Mind you I prefer not to get burnt at all but its a dangerous job.. Like I said still the safest place I work in.. jlpservices
John in Oly, WA
Ouch! Really? 1st degree burns are like a sunburn. 3rd degree burns are charred skin. 2nd swelling and blisters

Glenn
You purchased the whole anvil not just the face, so turn the anvil every which way but loose, and use the anvil, the whole anvil. Glenn
