  1. Have you tried searching for the patent on the Alldays & Onions bellows?
  2. I'd pass too. Chicago Electric is HF Chinese low end price at best. I had a flux core wire unit that lasted about a year without heavy use. Only good for light work when they do. At $50 each is not a bad price, if they work but unless you can have the seller demonstrate that it's a pig in the poke.
  3. The only experience I have had with oil fired burners was with a unit the city used to cremate dead animals. The EPA shut it down due to air pollution.
  4. The lower one is what we call a tire changers hammer, the rubber face used to break the bead of the tire. I forged one into a nifty straight peen. BTW If you will edit your profile to show your location, we won't have to dunn ya for it when the answer requires knowing where in the world you hang your hat.
  5. I don't have a T on my forge but do on my wood stove. From that experience I can tell you my wood stove will pull a draft better with the T cap open, especially when first lighting the fire. All the cold air in the stack pushes back into the stove with the cap closed. Frosty is correct.
  6. I would like more about this. A google search did not turn up anything.
  7. Good choice in my opinion. It will do everything you ask of it and more.
  8. I believe what you have is called sucker rod here in the states. If you have the end that connects to more rod this may help to id it.
  9. When you post a reply the menu bar should be at the top of where you are typing. If you hover over all the icons it will say what each is, preview is all the way to the right.
  10. Well Patty welcome to IFI. Have you read this yet? READ THIS FIRST It will help you get the best out of the forum. We have members from over 100 countries, hence the suggestion to edit your profile to show your location. BTW When you upload all those pictures, be sure to resize them to something like 500X375 so they don't take up so much band width. A lot of members still have to rely on dial up internet or pay extra for bandwidth and large pictures take forever to load and we do love pictures.
  11. I find an inexpensive HF hand truck to be invaluable for moving all sorts of things in my shop.
  12. In my area that anvil would go for about $300 depending on the rebound & ring tests. Heavy beast at 148 pounds another fairy tale.
  13. I still have my old Motorola flip phone and love it and my plan $19.95 a month. It never bothers me with all the new gadgets. My wife on the other hand has a phone that is about the size of a tablet and it's always jingle jangling all day & night.
  14. The edges look like they have been welded and ground some, maybe long ago. He would have to come down to around $400 for me to buy the setup given the possible problems with the anvil. It should be usable though not ideal.
  15. You might send him a message, although it will probably be a long shot if he sees it unless his email is still correct.
  16. Looks good and should work a treat.
  17. Sans pick-up a smaller trailer will haul a lot of gear. My wife & I built a small tear drop camper on a HF trailer. She has hauled it all over the country behind a small Pontiac Vibe.
  18. Same here about printing the pertinent pages. If I had a smarter than me phone, I would probably take pictures of the pages like my wife does.
