  8. What you want for general smithing like hooks, brackets and whatnot is A36 Hot Rolled. Here's their catalog http://www.midwestmetalonline.com/pdf/Catalog.pdf A36 starts on page 40.

    Nails?

    Most ring shank or spiral pole barn nails are of a higher carbon steel than common nails.

  19. I use a couple of TECO VFDs a 1hp and a 2hp from Factorymation, reasonably priced and work great. But the largest TECO 1ph in 3ph out I've seen is 3 Hp. I did find this though. http://www.driveswarehouse.com/Drives/AC+Drives/Phase+Converter+VFD/PC1-50.html
