  1. Good Morning my good folks, My brother in law, Mark, is located in Tuscon AZ and needs to find a shop that will sell him a section of 5 inch OD +/- square tube. He needs good and thick section of tube for the bike rack on his travel trailer. The tube that came with the trailer was so thin the bike rack caused it to bend. Does anyone know of a cut shop that will sell less than a full 20 section of steel? Mark is about to go on to training to be the captain of the DC-10 tanker he works called "Big Jucy". Big Juicy is a fire fighting tanker that works fires in the western US. I would like to take this off his plate since he is moving back in to fire season. If y…

Hi everyone. I know Grizzly forge has open shop on some Wednesdays by appointment in downtown Phoenix and the Desert Rat Forge opens their shop on the first Saturday morning of each month up in Carefree. Are there any other forges in the Phoenix metropolitan area that rent space or have open shop hours for people without a forge of their own?

I see that the Az Artist Blacksmiths Assoc. is putting on Winterfest in Tucson, and since its less than 20 miles from my house I'm thinking of going. What is a blacksmith conference? Being extremely new to this I have no idea. Conference's I've been to thorough work are usually dry, boring, and you fight to stay awake. What really goes on at one of these conferences? Thanks, Bob

  18. I have two 50gal drums of coal that I need out of my shop while we have an open house for prospecting buyers. The deals is, you can use the coal for as long as you hold on to it for me. Also it would probably help if you have a truck to load it into. I sold mine so I can't deliver it. Pm me if interested. Ill try to check my account periodically.

Here are some photos of our demo in the ghost town Pearce, Az for Old pearce historic days. The blacksmiths shop was left just as it was in the old days. It was a pleasure to work in it. Like a step back in time. Thank you all who came down to demo. I hope you had as much fun as I did.

How is Gordon Williams doing on his bike trip from AK to the Grand Canyon? I am with the Alaska Blacksmith Association. He put on an amazing demo for us before he jumped on his bike with 2 cans of bear spray & lots of mosquito spray. He demo'd a hummingbird but to us Alaskans it looked like an Alaskan mosquito. I hope they are doing good & getting that 60 miles a day in on their bikes with no problems. Jim Arctic Anvil Anchorage Alaska
