  1. this is my anvil from what i have been told it is a pre1830s mousehole non pritchel hole

  4. jaime thats a good idea with the stove pipe im gonna try that with my rim/ brake rotor forge :)
  5. i learned by myself picked up an old lincon buzz box at my parents farm and welded my first forge frame together :)
  6. i myself have a hobart 135 its set up for flux core wire at the moment since i dont have the gas set up but i do want a miller thunder bolt or a lincon ac/dc buzz box (225)for a stick welder

  8. nice hatchet i like that you left the head of the rr spike could be used as a hammer if needed
  9. well i finaly made a tomohawk thats done its made out of a leaf spring off of a semi and quenched in old motor oil i dont have any good files or a belt grinder so i used my bench grinder instead
  10. look for an old lincon 225 buzz box you can pick them up anywhere from 80 to 150+ bucks on craigslist
  11. ya but on the same token cnc machines just do what they are told.They are as good as the programer programing them
  12. is that going to be a coal/charcoal forge or a gas forge? looks like it would work for coal/charcoal just keep an eye on the concrete so it dont xplode
  13. lol i would rather keep my non prichal mousehole that has a cracked faceplate and plus i have better i-beams than that one
  14. i really like the one i bought from sears i was useing it pretty hard and didnt notice and dents thats kinda weird My first hammer was a 3.5lber from tractor supply the handel split length wise and i used electrical tape and taped the whole handle up cause i didnt have an extra at the time that was 3 years ago its still like that

  17. i bought myself a new hammer too with xmas money:) a 2.5lb craftsmen cross peen from sears needed to get a smaller hammer the on i normaly use is a 3.5lb crosspeen it was gettin a little heavy
  18. ok i finaly got some leaf springs from the local spring shop i know they are high carbon but do you need to weld spring steel at a sweating heat or a sparking heat?
