  2. is that style of anvil hard to come by? are they still being made? and how much do you think a fair price for a used one would be if a came across one?

  4. ok im thinking about switching from coal to charcoal mainly because i that its a cleaner fire from what i have read couple of questions can you use the same air blast as coal? is it easyer to weld with than coal? and any other pointers never have used it just wondering
  5. nice tool i need to make some more tongs myself and the rivet tool would be handy aswell do you have the plans in inches? mm is like speaking japanease to me lol
  6. this is my brake drum 55gal drum forge made out of 2 55gal drums stacked on top of each othe holes cut in for the flue air pipe and acess to the ash trap a little crud but it works
  7. i wouldnt mind getting that style of anvil for my shop i like that style never used one but the tapered backside looks like it would be useful i wanna upgrade from my 170#ish non prichel mousehole
  8. no on my forge the small holes i had drilled cloged up faster with coal or clinkers the bigger ones help with that and give more airflow and less resitance i have burned up hairdryers with a grate that has the smaller holes
  9. i like that brick forge you made irnsrgn i want to make one like that but i want to put a suspending hood on the one i want to build so i can do 360degs aroung it if i need but thats on the wish list when i get my own little outhouse to work in :)
  10. does anyone know a good store bought hot punch or equivlent and i need to make a hot drift for a tomahawk head for the handle what is a good steel i could use that i can find in a juckyard or scrap pile?
