    A big chunk of hardened 4140 would be excellent! I don't know anything about T1 though.

    One of the best thing's I did was join the NEB. This years fall meet is in Goshen Connecticut in a few weeks. It will be my second meet, first one was the 2017 spring meet. They had a really good demonstrator last year. And plenty of good tools for sale. Also the last Saturday of every month their is an open forge at the brentwood teaching facility. You pay 20 bucks and you get to use the forges for the whole day, really great program.

    Looks cool but I'm confused by the handle construction. Is it like a taco where the wood wraps around the tang?

    I didn't weld mine there, but I haven't had tracking problems.

    I welded mine up and it runs great. So mine is a WGS Welded Grinder Sander.

    Made a pair of tong's to hold 3/16 x 1" flat bar yesterday.

    Consider the groove in the horn as an added design feature. I'm sure somewhere down the road you'll find some great use's for it.

    If you made it for yourself and it's comfortable for you then there's no problem.

    Looking forward to the next one. I'll bet it will a 10 times better with the pins sorted out. Design wise I think it looks great.

    Why the need to fix it? It looks like it might be a good place to give life and character to leaves or put the v in v bit tongs.

    That wood is really nice, and I love low layer Damascus. My only two critique's are the handle looks a little short. usually I try and shoot for 4 1/2 inches for handle length on medium to large knives. shorter for smaller knives obviously. The blade looks a tiny bit on the wide side.

    That's a nice hammer LB, how long did it take? it looks like it would be pretty simple to make.

    Look up MultiTool grinder. Its a 2x36 bench grinder attachment.

    Very nice axe. I have a really nice axe handle that I got and I'm dying to make an axe that size. Now I know the stock size, thank for posting.
