  1. Looks good! My only criticism is that the handle looks a little bit chunky towards the end.
  2. I got this great condition Trenton anvil from one of the sellers at the NEB meet, and I would like to know possibly a little more about it. What I gathered from AIA was that it was made from 1899 to 1904. It has 4 handling holes (one bottom, one under the heel, one under the horn and one underneath that one on the feet), and a cast base with hourglass depression. Tremendous ring and pretty good rebound with a small hammer. (still need to get a 1/2" ball bearing) Sorry I can't really read the serial number I'll try and get some baby power on it tomorrow. Also interestingly it is a smiths pattern with 2 pritchel holes.
  3. Yeah thought it was something along those line. Not really a useful forging size, would make a nice bench anvil though. A collector would probably go nuts for one like that.
  4. Its ok, I'm surprised it sold it was like 500 dollars!
  5. Top and sides are good, thanks so much! That anvil looked like it was untouched by human hands it was amazing!
  6. Oh that actually makes perfect sense. Just I've never seen one like that.
  7. Sorry those are the only pictures I took. I wish I took some pictures of the mint condition 40 pound PFP peddinghaus some one was selling.
  8. Definitely looks homemade because you can see threads at the bottom of the pipe. To me it looks like random piece's of scrap welded up for a purpose only known to the maker.
  9. I second this, its very frustrating when you fail to make a project over and over again because you lack basic skill. Especially when you don't have someone to show you how to do it in person.
  10. Yeah I will even pay shipping for the anvil! All joking aside looks like you need a wire wheel, some boiled linseed oil and some hot metal to polish that anvil up.
  11. Got some picture's of the stuff in the demo tent. Kinyon power hammer Sweet Kohswa anvil Demo setup And of course my sweet Trenton anvil I picked up!
  12. Yeah but this one doesn't have a clip horn like most.
  13. Yeah not sure why you would need two prichel holes the same size.
  14. That's my plan. I love my new anvil, sadly I couldn't bring it up to the hotel room.
  15. A 128 pound Trenton anvil followed me home from the NEB meet. It's in really great shape zero chipping, it rings with the tap of a finger. Dual prichel holes and has some remainder of black paint, and got it for a pretty good price!! Sorry about the big pics couldn't find out how to resize them on an IPad.
  16. Who cares if its unusable I would just like to have that in my yard!
