Varond
Hey all, Just ran into this deal, at least I believe it's a deal on an anvil. Seller says is 100#. Can't find any markings for brand. Will take $200.
Daswulf
In my little area of the world that sounds like a great deal and I would jump on it right away given the good looking condition. Looks kinda like a Hay Budden. Possibly Trenton.
NoName
Hey V, Grab the cash and run. When you pull up, take a deep breath, good ring and rebound, load it up. Stop reading and go. N.N.F. Beautiful, Manchester, Michigan, USA
Irondragon ForgeClay Works
Looks like my 106 lb Hay-Budden, if it passes the ring & rebound test I wouldn't hesitate to get it, provided there is no bad damage on the other side. Should be a name on the other side (hidden by the paint) & serial number on the foot under the horn.
Lionel h
Great find ! Enjoy your new to you anvil. Very good price!
VaughnT
So, have you got it yet? Are you still dilly-dallying around? That's a fine anvil, and a super-fine price. While I'm not a fan of things "not Fisher", I'd still snatch it up at that price and not think twice about it!
Varond
Picking it up later today!
JHCC
I can’t believe that no-one’s pointed out the obvious problem with that anvil: with that color of corrosion, it’s obviously made of copper! Just kidding. Looks great (for a non-Mousehole), and definitely a fantastic price. Keep us posted.
Tubalcain2
looks like a steal. buy it and buy it fast.
Varond
Picked it up today. Rings nicely on the face and the legs. Didn't have a bearing for rebound but the hammer seems to bounce nicely. Here's a pic on the stump I plan on mounting it to. Planning on wire brushing the paint of to see if I can find a maker or serial number. ThomasPowers
What does the bottom look like? It's often the fastest way to narrow down the possible makers!
