July 31, 20169 yr My mother-in-law Dolores has been in and out of the hospital for several months and had to been in a rehabilitation facility for about three weeks. Last week while I was on a business trip, I got a call that she had to go into the hospital with congestive heart failure. Yesterday evening, just after my wife Lisa had left on a week-long business trip of her own, we got the call that Dolores's heart had briefly stopped beating. She is stable now, and there does not appear to be any residual damage from the cardiac event, but please keep her and Lisa in your prayers.
August 4, 20169 yr Author Update: Dolores is still in the hospital and still on the ventilator. Things are generally looking better (although they're still worried about her edema), and they're trying to wean her off the vent. Thank you all for your prayers.
