Hello everyone, this is a leather sheath I just made for a leather handled bowie I made this past winter. The leather is tooling leather, roughly 1/8" thick. The arkansas sharpening stone is 4" long x 1-1/8" wide x 3/8" thick. I have to get leg ties for it yet.

hello everyone, I bought this knife about 3 years ago at a flea market. For a few years, i collected bayonets so this one caught my eye since it resembles one, it also resembles a hitler youth knife almost exactly except the handle material is different and the blade has a fuller on either side. It has no markings whatsoever, the handle material seems to be fabric in nature but hardened, you can see grains running thru it. The tang is only a narrow strip just wide enough to put the handle pins thru. The guard and tang that the handle is attached to are one piece with a bottom tang piece which appears to be wood, it almost looks like a repair but it looks like it was made that way, very odd. the oal is 10-3/4" and the blade is 6" long x 3/16" thick. Any questions, thoughts or answers are greatly welcome! I just want to know what it is! :)

Very nice! I like the design of the blade and handle, a short bladed knife like that has alot of uses out in the field.

Mike, those are really nice! I like how all the parts are made of metal and how simple they are, kindof reminds me of the german K55 cat knife with its metal handle.

hello everyone This is a knife I made 6 years ago for my friends dad who was a U.D.T. veteran also known as a "frogman" during vietnam. He had the shorter knife made while he was stationed for a few weeks in the philippines by a native. He used his knife througout the war and after the war whenever he went camping, so he wanted me to make one similar to it because he loved the design, but with a longer blade and a sharpening stone added to the sheath. I forged the knife from a leaf spring. The blade length is 10", overall length is 15-1/2" long. I made the sheath from tooling leather with an arkansas sharpening stone that is 4"Lx1-1/2"Wx3/8"T, I never liked the smaller sharpening stones especially with a knife with a long blade.
