  1. Linseed oil and beeswax on inside stuff unless it's for food, then I use olive oil baked on in the oven. For outside stuff properly applied paint holds up well. Finnr

  5. Mine isn't even finished yet and it's too small! LOL Finnr
  6. Frosty said:" Besides, orifice size, forge volume, liner type, there's altitude, humidity and barometric pressure on a given day." Also what color socks you are wearing and which way the wind's blowing. Finnr

Great news. Pennies can be lucky. Gather enough and you have a dollar! Finnr
  9. The forge I'm using right now is the center from an old chopper box wheel with a two inch strip of 1/8 inch steel wrapped around it. A few pieces of cast off plumbing and a hand cranked blower. Works great. Finnr

  11. I have a Tiger But they seem to be quite scarce. from the look of the casting it's possible that a fan assembly from a Canedy Otto, might fit. Just a hairy guess on my part. Finnr

  22. just sprinkle it on lightly. Too much flux is as bad as not enough. If you don't like the way good old 20 Mule bubbles up. Stick it in the oven in a glass dish at 350 or so for a couple hours, then break up the big lump and you have dried out a lot of the excess water. Oh don't let your Wife / Mother or other female catch you cooking off borax in her oven in her glass pan. Most get ttesty about those things. Finnr
  23. MMO is and always has been in my shop. It is the best stuff for about fifteen dozen uses I can think of! Finnr
