  1. WAAAAYYY COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thanks O-N-R; Might I suggest that your pal wire a shop vacum hose to the tool post and vent the exhaust and powder away from his breathing space I'm sure he would last longer if he did that peace to you both...
  3. Tom ; I haven't had too much issue with belt slippage but the belt on mine is showin it's age. The serpentine belt sounds like a good replacement, I've run south bend lathes with replacement flats pinned in and they have a tendency to hang up on the hog ring splice at heavier loads (PIA !!!) TURN AND BURN !!! :D
  4. I have a home built propane fired furnace for aluminum (works great !!) and I hope brass. wondering what your using for iron ???? I would like to do some small stuff in iron,

    hammer

I would think the hole is for straightening and /or bending puposes
  6. Just a bit of advice I've found that peening the weld after each pass releives the stress that causes hairline cracks and cracks in general, cast can be fussy stuff have fun .........C.B.
  7. Cool !! An adjustable camlock type vice right at the forge Hmmm, I could see many uses for it. But as to a name for it or who designed it ?????? I'm gonna try to make one for meself now that I've seen it thanks for showin it........
  8. Thanks Bob; It sure didnt look nice when I bought it I did a total teardown and cleanup before the paint job, the ways and gear boxes were in nice shape. Its not able to hog cut like the ones I work with but for home projects it's great.
  9. Ive got a unit like that one I've been wanting to set up a vertcal forge with using a mixture of waste oil waste cooking oil and just enough diesel to thin it some, screened before the feed pump I think welding temps should be no problem...my thoughts dont always work but I always learn something from the experiences be it good or bad ;)
  10. Thanks Mike I could use a shot, been meaning to come see you but as you know stuff happens and a belated happy B day I did'nt know, see ya soon ............

  11. Jerry; Tony's condition is improving and I pray for his recovery in full as a brother should. I thank you and everyone for your prayers and concern Bless you all.... Cliff

  18. that should work fine TD mine is similar save for my bottle is mounted underneath the table top of 1/4" diamond plate on a 3/4" plywood deck. The frame is 1 1/2" angle iron with wheels mounted on the back and level screws on the front ...(Easy to roll around and store) one of these days I'll post pics of my toys see ya.... CB
  19. Oh yeah; another neat trick if yer interested if you quench each bend at different temps. you will get different tones per section and it sounds cool .......... B)
  20. Looks good T.D. I've used leather strapping to hang mine with and used twisted square stock for the clanger with a tapered loop eye lots of angles to consider for that have fun C.B. B)
  21. I too have a fuel oil furnace burner similar to that,I'm going to use it for my new foundry furnace after modifying it (if necessary) burn bio or petroleum waste oil. They are out there, check with demolition contractors or general contractors doing an up grade, you can usually get them for hauling it off or real cheap. Good luck........... B)
  22. Woopsie; guess I answered the question twice
