ThomasPowers
Tonight some high octane eggnog and a massive sleep in my OWN BED! Got home and have a fire in the woodstove; life looking up!

ThomasPowers
If it gets to 50 degF I can probably sneak out to the shop or even the scrapyard. (One of my "Forge Buddies" mother has offered to be my "watcher" at the scrapyard for me....you do what you can!)
Frosty
Ahhh, the real rest of your own bed and an egg nog too! That sure beats hospital egg nog! People tell me I need to be watched too. Frosty The Lucky.
ThomasPowers
I only woke up "restrained" once in the hospital. Figured it was a "plus" to the story. Future episodes are likely as well. Here in he passive solar "great room" it's in the 80's even without the woodstove. My shop tour decided that it was too cold for me right now. Charles R. Stevens
Tell them to fire up the forge and strike for you, it will warm them up just fine!
Frosty
The forecasts say it should start warming up Thomas. A knit cap would go a long way towards keeping warm. Part of my Christmas was a knit cap from yarn Deb spun from Abby, Libby and Falki fur It's a beautifully planned and intricately knitted cap, when rolled down it has extra warm ear muffs with Qiviut added to the yarn. Abby and Libby have crossed the rainbow bridge, I held them as they crossed over. We re-homed Falki where he has fenced acreage, livestock to guard and an airconditioned spot in the house. Anyway, that cap misted me all up and it's seriously warm. I also got a number of jerseys, some like long johns and two thinsulate jerseys. And a nice warm vest. Today I went for a load of firewood in just those and my lined winter pants at 8f. I felt the coolth on my arms but otherwise was snug and warm, even sweated a little dragging the loaded sled in. Take the cap off and I was feeling the cold in about 30 seconds. Frosty The Lucky.

Frosty
Make it back to la casa yet? How many fire starters did you have the escort carry for you? Frosty The Lucky.
ThomasPowers
We boil pinecones in hot wax for firestarters; so a cat litter bucket of them is on the back porch.
