JHCC
Back then, it was easier to keep things to keep things spruced up.

BIGGUNDOCTOR
I think if everyone would just take a breather, and let the manufacturers get ramped back up, prices should come down. They are telling some home buyers that to keep the subdivision home they are having built they need to agree to a 30% price increase to cover material jumps. If that was me, I would say, nope, I'll look around some more.
TWISTEDWILLOW
I’m gonna have to log all these puns in my memory for future use. I agree with BIGGUN I think the material prices will come down in a year or two. it’s just like the spike for sanitizer and toilet paper last year eventually manufacturing caught up. At one point a local store was selling tp at $1 a roll and now you can buy as much of it as you can haul for normal prices agin.
BillyBones
I logged in and this discussion has certainly branched offed in a different direction. I have a budding hope that the root of the problem is supply and demand.
ThomasPowers
Well I took in about US$30 of copper scrap today; helped pay down my 255# of iron/steel out! Just trying to do my part!
