December 18, 200916 yr Frosty, ya could have been from Calif. Would have been a redwood. Don't let the birch sleep alone. stuff in all its friends. Ken
December 18, 200916 yr Heck Ken, I am from Cal, grew up there anyway but never cut down a tree there. Ah, the Great White . . . Birch doesn't sleep alone nor cold. In fact I'm making an ash of it right now. Frosty
December 18, 200916 yr Author egad Frosty, first your buns, then your wood????????? man I'm not sure I need to know that much about you! Has De noticed any significant behavioural changes?? Do you take night strolls in odd clothes or anything?? Perhaps hold long conversations with inanimate objects?? We may be seeing the longer term effects of your birch clubbing!!

Do you take night strolls in odd clothes or anything?? Perhaps hold long conversations with inanimate objects?? We may be seeing the longer term effects of your birch clubbing!! I'm just trying to answer questions asked Mike though I seem to remember a picture being worth a thousand words. Wonder where my camera is? I don't USUALLY hold an actual conversation with inanimate objects, at least not since I retired from the state and no longer have to talk to supervisors. Then again, I've been laughing at this computer for days now and it hasn't moved an inch on it's own. Should I worry? Frosty
December 19, 200916 yr Everything has it's time. We've had fun doing this and I hope Frosty enjoyed it. It's important to know when to stop and I propose we put this thread to bed. Been fun all. All the best to you Frosty, get well. Edited December 19, 200916 yr by nakedanvil
December 19, 200916 yr Frosty the Abominable Blacksmith, Conquer of the Great White . . . Birch (after a fashion), Giver of advice, and doles humor endlessly! Phil
December 19, 200916 yr And with that, Frosty properly roasted, well warmed anyway, both by our comments, best wishes, and the Great White . . . Birch now glowing in the stove.
December 20, 200916 yr Thanks guys, I can't tell you how much better I feel for the laughter you provided. I needed this roast like a man lost in the desert needs a drink of water. Of all the powerful medicines that have been brought to bear for me, from prayer to the best efforts of EMTs, doctors, nurses, strangers who sat with me, Deb and Abby, laughter is a great healer. I'm honored, Frosty
December 20, 200916 yr He's a bear for punishment. He actually wants us to keep going. I sure hope you're making an album of all this. Your great-grandkids will love it. I wood. Edited December 20, 200916 yr by nakedanvil
