  1. Pure looks. It was my first anvil and I didn't know how loud it wasn't. :-)
  2. One of my very first projects was making 4 of these and... Was fun and still using that stand 4 years later. Hollow out the bottom just a little to prevent wobble.
  3. Nice work all. Going to have to try a throwing knife now
  4. Very interesting John. Nice work Goods and lots of it looking good Chad. Yesterdays fun cooling after wax. s hook, brooch that is too small but looks ok and a little leaf keyring.
  5. Here is my garden anvil. 7kg new world anvil I bought a couple years ago and a stake anvil I made from 4140. I like to tap on some copper do-dads and stuff when we sit out and drink coffee on the weekends. nice little anvil that I will move to a jewelers bench when that time comes.
  6. Nice one Billy and Alex you are machine. I made made a little heart and another spring steel s hook. Lots of fun.
  7. Real nice Das. I can see those selling well
  8. Nice ones Billy. Any reason for the holes in the brooch other than decoration?, they do look cool.
  9. You should Gandalf. I stole it from HojPoj so all is fair…
  10. Nice scores. I really want a fisher too. Thinking about trading my twin screw vise for an anvil or maybe a big 6”+ post vise
  11. Super fun weekend. Got to forge twice. Saturday I started a set hammer out of 1-1/4” 4140 snd tried a rr spike person ala HojPoj and another S hook Today I punched and drifted, shaped my person snd yup, an s hook. thanks for looking
  12. Thanks Anvil, That is very good info, I will try another one like above but built to specific dimensions.
  13. My Anvil, Can you please elaborate? I have practicing squares lately and assume they might be here? Thanks
  14. A bit late here but looks real good. I really like the texture of the quail background. I have a sand filled leather bag that I use a bit and some stakes as noted. You might dress your hammer and tools some to reduce the marks. Keep at it. I want to do more but always find that I would rather spend my time forging. I wish the wife would let me do it in front of the tv at night.
  15. Can you try it with a small flat punch to simulate your logo? Knowing how much force the press produces is irrelevant without knowing how much is needed. I would guess it would work fine. Really nice press by the way Edit: what Mr.Goods said
  16. To me it looks like a rasp for aluminum with the tang removed and a holder added. The pliers look like some type of crimping device. Just wild guessing but I have a rasp like that and was told it may be for shaping aluminium.
  17. Not today but over the last several weeks. I try to make one every time I forge and we give them away alot but am starting to get some inventory. the bottom 2 are made of 3/16” garage door spring which I know is overkill but I like to use it as I seem to get a better finish and uniformity over mild and I have a bunch. thanks for looking
  18. My is not not nearly as elegant and wont work upside down but I like it. Made from 3/8” so little small. Plus another little S hook which I like making and give them all away. Lots of fun thanks for looking.
  19. Love the hanger John. Ima fixing to make one myself. Will post a picture
