  1. a few of us have tried to help, and you dont want to listen. You were told to not remove the oxide layer as that is what you are creating intentionally to show a pattern, you insist on removing it then complain when its gone. So no more kicking this horse this thread is closed
  2. I hand rub it with my fingers to remove excess etchant, that is all
  3. I etch AFTER all sanding. just neutralize and oil after etching, Else you are sanding away the etch You need to give us more info, what steels are being used? what chemical strength for etching
  4. Had a Total Eclipse here, boss let us take work break early to watch it, even had a few pair of glasses for us to share for viewing
  5. I finished downloading from the wayback site, and have most of the 000 and 100 series online. This leaves about half of the 200 series and most of the 500 series to locate Just keeping you posted on my progress. My little vacation is almost over and I return to work Monday so I wont have as much time to devote to searching other archives, but if anyone has other suggestion, like the wayback site was, I am grateful for it, post it here or send me a PM
  6. Thanks to a suggestion in an older post from JHCC i went to the Wayback web site and located many of the missing photos, so I am in process of leading those
  7. The Articles and Stories have been cleaned up and moved over now. I don't know how but the update that glitched and removed so many photos way back when, also inserted sometimes as many as 12 blank lines in the middle of the text so I hope those are getting easier to read now that they are fixed. Sorry it took so long, but I had to wait til they were available to clean up before I could do anything with them, Glenn was collecting what he found, but was not in a rush to get them ready, after being offline for so long. Do to a few broken links that I can still read in his notes, I think I may have found there is a directory in Glenn's computer Hard drive of his back ups that can access the pictures. He already moved many over to this system, While neither I nor this program, have access too that Hard Drive, FOO does, so in time when he gets back to WV if they are there, he can put those somewhere available to me and I can load them in and get the rest of the 250 or so remaining BPs online again as well. that's it for now
  8. I took 000 and 100 offline until I can get the photos sorted out, they dont make a lot of sense as they are now
  9. no clue, its a Glenn number system. I honestly think its based on when it was presented as much as anything everyone should be able to read and post to the forum sub section,. the Pages will be going away after I finish up, I have been deleting from there as I transport them into the forum itself
  10. added 700 last night, and 800 and 900 this morniong, plus half of the 200 and none of the 500 series have photos If everyone can do us all a favor, I noticed while doing the 900 series that there were many duplicates there from other series. So if while browsing these you notice a copy, let me know the BP numbers of say 923 and 400 are the same so I can removed the copys.
  11. YES always Sadly we stopped hosting the Tuesday night BP presentation because Glenn and I could not do it anymore, and no one else would commit to being in the chat room every Tuesday to present them, but I will still add to this list when they get sent it, I will format them if you cant as well. I also added some of the 200, 400 and 600 series today, still so many are missing drawings or photos Perhaps someone would be willing to go over the old ones like that and re do them?
  12. slowly getting them moved over, so far I have 00, 100, 300 series moved into the forum and they can be commented on now as well. I dont have photos for 200 or 500 series yet still searching for them, we have them somewhere I think
