  4. If things don't turn out as expected, then start asking questions...... You are allowed to make mistakes , ya know. They are good learning tools:-) Start out with a simple layered pattern. leave the complex patterns for when you know a little more.
  5. Thanks I have no trouble seeing them but I know what to look for. This specific cable is .86-.89 C , thats what make sit so attractivwe to mme. Lots better cutting ability than most multistrand cable, tho I use a lot of it also.
  6. Right Phil, it's low layer. What I find intriguing about it, if ya look at the dark bars, that is the cable. The little tiny squiggly lines in the dark sections is aband of pure carben, so I am told. It's a product of the extruded strands. Makes it loojk like you have double the layers.

  8. Nickolson Black Diamond files are Generally in that 1.0 carbon range. If you find roller bearings that can be ID'ed as 52100 , they are in that range also. Rich gives good advice.
