If sanfblasted, you should be able to get aweay with one good coat of 2k primer(epoxy) Then topcoat. I like colorful machines. Check out my Fairbanks , pinstripes and all It come here Osha green. I just freshened it up and did the striping

You can build a serviceable burner with fittings from Lowes, Home Depot, local hardware store, etc for under 20 bucks. Add more for the regulator, needle valve, hose.

With the wax and grease remover, make sure ya wipe off with a clean towel before dipping. That stuff does leave a residue. -
