Allan
Allan from Ballarat Victoria. This is a good idea. I can now print off all the names and maybe call in next time I go past? Everyone happy about that? I am starting small but looking to increase this area and decrease landscaping side of things. I enjoy the website. Ratel10mm
Hi OldJeff, welcome to IFI and good luck with the learning. It's a good idea to put your rough location in your profile in case there's someone local to you who can also offer help. Hi Allan. You're welcome to drop in on me, although I have basically nothing at present. And Double_Edge 2 has an open invitation to his forge for anyone. Nakedanvil - Grant Sarver
Sure wish I could join y'all for a beer, for sure. Probably no one else in the world we feel as close to. Ex-British colony, great frontier and all, I guess. Yeah, well you and the Canucks. But Canada is almost the U.S. anyway. You realize if the border was moved fifty miles north we'd have about 90% of their people? So why do you think it is that all the ex-British colonies drink mostly lagers and pilsners? Only in recent times that we've gotten a taste for ales and no one seems to have acquired a taste for stouts.
AndrewOC
I was enjoying stout and pale ales at one stage, (not at the same time). however both have learnt to disagree with my guts! :( a. go Coopers brewery
forgemaster
If you can't be there we will have a beer for you in your absense Grant, don't worry! I normally have at least one shower a month whether I need it or not. Phil
Andrew Huddleston
I'm not OZ, but I'm trying to find the name of one who was in a publication awhile back. He had a motor-driven, adjustable tension forging roller he had made, which seemed to squeeze metal easily. Anyone have a clue for me? scarymonkey
Scarymonkey. Like I said in my intro I first got the blacksmith bug while doing a welding course at North Sydeny TAFE,there was a wrought iron /blacksmith course going on in the next room and I enrolled in it 3 years in a row. I also went to a big "steam day" at Timber Town a few years back ,all the forges were going hammer and tong,(excuse the pun).I spent most of the day annoying the blacksmith types with silly questions. I like older bikes and have a WW2 jeep that Im doing up.

Since Petrie has become unavailable for a couple of years now, I think there has been a.. hole, in the availability and opportunity for a newby, and not newby to gather, socialise, and play. I might avago and offer a solution for that. Emails of Expressions of Interest to me. Or Turn Up Or Dont. Davs
Hello there, I am a female Blacksmith who will shortly be moving to Australia. I have already contacted a few Blacksmiths in Australia but so far I haven't been able to contact any that are local to Sydney or Melbourne. Please let me know if you are local to that area and wouldn't mind having a brit come and say hello. Look forward to hearing from you.
