I think they look cleaner without them if it's not in use. That's a purdy knife. Well done from the blade to the handle to the sheath. ThomasPowers Posted May 28, 2017 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Most knives don't need lanyards in use these days; now if you plan to use it on horseback or around water or on a mountainside then yes; but dropping it around the house or campsite or while dressing out an animal---not so much a problem.
