Tenebrocity
The fact that he wanted to do something different from a traditional s-hook shows innovation, the first sign of genius. Lets hope her never looses that rare quality. Happy smithing from CA!
ngneer
Oh, now he's raised the hook standard. I guess all of us are going to have to do a little better than a plain old S-hook in the future. Keep up the good work. I originally thought the thread was for a project that was nine years old, not the smith. Wish I could do that well, nice design, CUDOS to you dad, that time spent with the little fellow will be embedded in his mind, keep up with that quality time and he'll do fine in this art as well as in life. Very nice to see dads working and teaching their children, and, hello from east central Alabama.
FieryFurnace
Good job on the S-hook from Kentucky! I started when I was 13 so tell him he's got the jump on me! :D
Judson Yaggy
That's great! Love the hook. My 7 year old smithing son says to say hi to your 9yo from Bristol, Vermont, USA. I may just be seeing what I want to but I love the way kids around blacksmithing seem to be more aware of the way things work. Here's a vid of Alex making twisties. VaughnT
Hello from South Carolina. That's some mighty fine work. Getting such a nice taper on the ends is very tough for me to do, to do it at 9yo is simply amazing. Great skill there! I'll look forward to seeing more of your work soon. dpmcginn75
Very nice hook. Wish I had been able to start at such a young age. I am in my 20's and just trying to get started. Keep up the good work and don't loose heart.

Borntoolate
Louisiana here. But I spent a year and a half in Saudi Arabia. So he can add that to his list of "across the pond" contacts... so to speak.
