Has anyone seen a more pathetic attempt?

Looks to me like the person is under the impression that you bang on an anvil to hear a ring. That's mostly all your going to get out of that piece of scrap iron besides a complimentary lolly pop from the scrap yard.

10 British pounds = 16.37200 U.S. dollars

For 1 cwt of mild steel seems a reasonable deal, but only if you need stuff that thick and can cut it up. Otherwise yea, a lollipop from the scrapyard.

That is pitiful. Would it qualify as abstract art?

Looks like he had to label it so he didn't forget what it was supposed to be. THAT'S bad. :D

Probably it would. Just think of some of the other cr.p that some people present as art.

That would be a good hood ornament for my Mack, aerodynamic and all

I wonder if he sells any custom tooling for it. Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad, it looks like he's not willing to ship overseas....I guess I won't be able to retire my tomoto soup-can anvil quite yet :(

wot makes me laugh is he says it can be made flatter with an angle grinder.... so its not even flat then??? i think i'll take the lollipop too..

Some people will try and sell ANYTHING. This is really bad.

David Hannum famously said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

This guy is simply trying to find one of them.

it would make a better boat anchor than ''anvil''

whoah whaoah!!! you guys get suckers at your scrap yard??? My uncle owns the one i go to , and I still dot get a sucker!

I think that"ll Ill keep my HB. Im just not ready for that kind of quality. wow... I cant say that with a strait face...

I reckon he be downsizing that I-beam;)

For posterity - attached is a copy of the picture of the anchor (anvil) being discussed.

I would hesitate to even call it an ASO(anvil shaped object). Throw it in the scrap pile.

lol i would rather keep my non prichal mousehole that has a cracked faceplate
and plus i have better i-beams than that one

njanvilman, I agree. I wouldn't even go so far as to call that an ASO!! LOL. The sad part is that some poor sap will probably buy it. :(

thanks for saving this image, I was afraid it would be lost in the fog of history. I would not be surprised if it ended up on display somewhere as a sculpture dealing with the inginuity of man. LOL

i missed my calling last year when i scraped a few bent up pieaces of flange i should have seen the light and cut them up and sold them on ebay what was i thinking scraping them
