  1. Well, you'll sure get more scratch for the itch! (aka, "bang for your buck")
  2. Well xxxx, Thomas. Sounds as if you're going to have your hands full gettin' all that stuff home and into the shop.
  3. Heck, reversed rotary tools would be easy to make.............................only problem is the billions of $$$ it would take to make all the "reverse" bits to go in'em!
  4. I'm VERY right-handed, Judson. I fully understand what you mean about using rotary tools. Only my left hand doesn't know how to do anything............and since losing a lot of gripping strength due to losing a ring finger on the left, I can't even hold rotary tools in my left hand properly to use them. So I'm relegated to face shields when using them. (and not real good about remembering to do so.)
  5. Joey, I'm one of your subscribers. Love to watch your videos. Incredible blacksmithing............to say the least. I agree with Keving...............your anchor videos are really inspirational to watch.
  6. Hey Burgersmith, you might post a picture of all the punches and accessories here on the forum. Number them as in a list and ask their purposes if you aren't sure. As yt said, you could seriously damage that beautiful old anvil if you use something incorrectly on it.
  7. Impressive................as always, Jennifer. As a wood worker, I'd be proud to use that chisel.
  8. Sure you can...............but they'll still be acting as a huge heatsink.
  9. Your ability to translate your language into ours is very good. You need not apologize. I can't imagine anyone here taking your delayed responses as "rude".
  10. Nice, LBC................I'm envious of your skills. Gotta get my forge runnin' so I can start trying to acquire similar ones myself.
  11. Where in the world did you get a video of me working out?????
  12. Well, I'm certainly no expert...............they'll all jump in after I post! But the first thing I notice is you've used hard refractory bricks. About all they'll do is soak up all your heat. I'd change all those out for the soft insulating bricks.
  13. I use equipment in the gym 3 days a week that uses the same "roller bearing" setup. That is neither a double pulley nor is it designed to add resistance. It is used to allow the pulling in either direction---------up or down. As the picture shows, the two rollers are on a column...............and move up and down along designated stops to change their height in relation to the user. In lower positions the user can do "curls" and other movements requiring a lifting of weight. The upper positions allow the user to work on triceps and anything else in a downward motion. Let's don't make this more complicated than it needs to be.
  14. Been stoking the stove in the shop here in Oklahoma, Frosty. It's 37f here, but even that is cool enough for a fire. Always keep my shop warm.
  15. From the expression on his face, it looks as if ya dragged in another convert!
  16. Indeed it does. When we works, we works hard. When we plays, we plays hard. When we sits down................well, we falls asleep. Oklahoma is different than many other places.
  17. Holy Moly, Marc..............you don't plan on using that as a watchmaker do ya? I've never seen ANYTHING like that monster. No kidding!!!!!
  18. My kind of guy. It's not hoarding if you can use it! Wife gets mad at me when we are driving down the road and I stop to pick up something "useful". One man's trash.....................
  19. Well, leave it to me to not catch it had already been posted. My mistake.
