i started with a london pattern peter wright,then i got my double horn vaughan.i dont believe you would regret going the two horn route,i have found mine to be a great tool and wouldnt buy anything else.
they are made to be used left or right handed.bend about 1.5 in.down 90 degrees then you make the hook on the left or right side,i use my scrolling tongs.i hope it is clear to you.
