    Kurgan I should have told you I add the coke around the side of the charcoal fire slowly filling it in, if a blowhole appears just fill it in with coke. Cheers John.

    I wait till the charcoal is burning but I must stress it will need air don't be put off by a few sparks If the fire starts to smother when you add the coke it just needs more air. :) Cheers John

    Aden please talk to me before you go buying equipment, don't go buying a log spliter as this can be dangerous if not modified and used correctly. :( :( :( Cheers John.

    Kurgan I simply wrap a couple of hand fulls of charcoal in a sheet of newspaper, place in the forge light the paper and add air, when the charcoal is burning add the coke. I don't use coal where I am because of the smoke problem. Please remember all things require air to burn and lots of it. If on the odd occasion I don't have any charcoal I use twigs or such in its place. Hope this is of help. Cheers John. :)

    I used to do demo's in nursing homes and I converted an old leg vise, which had the leg broken off, to mount in my 250lb Peter Wright.

    Shops are never big enough, if the space is there you will fill it with ease. I think the internal height is very important also for swinging lengths of steel & ventilation.

    Yes Thomas we've got red bellied black snakes,king brown snake,inland brown snakes,western brown snakes,wip snakes,tiger snakes,coastal taipan snake,inland taipan/fierce snake,death adder snakes,copperhead snakes,red back spider/black widow) funnel web spider,trapdoor spider,white tailed spider,scorpions,sharks,crocodiles and blue ringed octopus. Seems like I forgot one, "o" thats right me! :rolleyes:
