    ct surgery

Hi all, I had CT surgery on my right hand Jan' 2010, I have been left with my middle & ring finger being numb and with pins & needles all the time. I have been told it will take 6 to 18 months to get better, so my use of my right hand is very limited and gets sore if I jar it, not the result I expected. At this stage I'm not getting my left hand done. cheers John.
  7. Happy Birthday Guys, (now do I drink one carton of beer or two, decisions, decisions!)
  8. The last known add for Peter Wright anvils was by Master-Carr supply Company Chicago Illinois in 1937,(reference source Anvils in America) Hope this helps

  10. Hi Anvil_Fire777, You can buy electric blowers new for approx $20.00au, I saw them advertised in a cattle dog (Bunnings may be) I think was a Ryobi. Where do you hail from mate?
  11. Mistreated wad punch for sure looks like its had a very hard life. (same as a hole punch for making gaskets etc.)
  12. Good setup Grant I love the multi stage die set, the black Tshirt reminded me of a girl a took out once! Does the induction unit use the same current when heating as it does at idle? I'm very impressed with its capability.
  13. Dan P, run a grinder down the side of the anvil to expose the welding seam and measure it, it cant damage it, should be aprox 1/2" thick. :)
  14. As of mid July I retired from the workforce as such, now "I do it my way" (good name for a song). The wife and I are going touring inland new south wales to be at the biggest swap meet in oz at Bendigo Victoria in November. Just a couple of photos of a female member Sarah Hill working on an artistic name sign for her farm, look at that hammer swing how good is that. Sarah moved to Australia from England some years back and besides running her own business is doing a Farriers course at Tafe. See you at the forge.
  18. Hi Mike, I take it the reason you have shown the photo of your coke is as a sample of what you have for sale for your clients to view. I have heard around the trade someone in victoria is selling coke cheep and that its no good for forging maybe this mob just want people to think this is the same coke they are selling. I would ask for the photo to be removed. Cheers John. p.s. Retired and Loving it.
